Organic growth is a maintenance issue, not a cosmetic one
Moss holds water against roof tiles and pushes debris into gutters, which then overflow down the wall and stain render or rot fascias. Algae on a patio or driveway makes the surface genuinely slippery. Left long enough, all of it turns a maintenance job into a repair bill. Cleaning on a sensible cycle is the cheapest way to keep the fabric of the property sound. You can see hundreds of before-and-after jobs in our exterior cleaning gallery.
The method is chosen by surface
Roofs are steam cleaned or softwashed depending on the age, make and profile of the tile. Render is predominantly softwashed, with a gentle steam washdown reserved for heavy organic staining. Driveways are always re-sanded with kiln-dried sand once cleaned. We do not generally offer sealing: the British climate makes a reliable dry sealing window very hard to schedule, and we would rather say so than promise a date we cannot keep.
Guarantees, cover and commercial credentials
Roof cleaning carries a 3 to 5 year no-moss guarantee and render a 2-year guarantee, both with optional low-cost retreatment to extend the result. These are moss-return guarantees, kept deliberately distinct from any blanket workmanship promise. For commercial clients we hold IPAF and PASMA working-at-height qualifications, supply RAMS and method statements on request, and carry £5m public liability and £10m employer's liability cover. Payment is by bank transfer against an invoice, or cash. Read what customers say in our five-star customer reviews or check the full list of towns and counties we cover.
